BY AIR - airport in Misamis Oriental is located in Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City; from Manila or Cebu, you can take direct commercial flights to Lumbia Airport. Laginduingan International Airport in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental is expected to be done and working by 2011 and is said to replace the domestic airports - Lumbia Airport in CdeO and Maria Cristina Airport in Iligan.
BY LAND - land transportation around Misamis Oriental includes buses, taxi cabs, jeepneys, hired vans, and private cars.
BY SEA - the Port of Cagayan de Oro is the base sea port for commercial sea vessels and shipping to areas of Misamis Oriental

Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental is one of the major gateway to Bukidnon and Camiguin Island.
Bukidnon is known from its spectacular nature forests, valleys & mountains, as well as plantations; indeed one of the major places in the Philippines to produce agricultural products. Some of the tourist attractions and things to do in Bukidnon are the following:
Dahilayan Adventure Park - it is where the Asia's longest zip line zone located; a very refreshing top area with pine trees and has a low temperature especially during night and early morning. There are also various flowers and fruit plantations and a cold, refreshing spring.
Lawis - located in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, it is a plain valley with a river downside, it offers a perfect 360 degree view of the valley and areas of Bukidnon. At the very top, situated a one vacation white house privately owned; outside of the house is perfect to stand by and enjoy the scenic view.
Del Monte Pineapple Plantation - located in Bukidnon, this is where Del Monte plants and harvests their pineapples to be processed and sold in the market; the side ways are very relaxing to the eyes.
Black Pyramid - the Black Pyramid of monks is located in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon; it has been part of tourist attraction and a very relaxing place
Maramag Cable Cars - enjoy the scenic view while riding a cable car in Maramag, Bukidnon

BY AIR - there are no commercial flights going directly to Bukidnon, the nearest airport is in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental; after that a travel by land should be taken to reach Bukidnon
BY LAND - taking a bus trip is the most convenient way to reach Bukidnon from Cagayan de Oro; public jeepneys and van for hire are also available. Taxi cabs are also available to reach Bukidnon but it is too expensive than the rest being mentioned.
BY SEA - the closest seaport to Bukidnon is the Cagayan de Oro Port; from the sea port you can take public vehicles to Agora Bus Terminal to take a bus going to Bukidnon. If you are going to Dahilayan Adventure Park, it's best to take the van for hire.
To Camiguin Island
BY AIR - there are no commercial flights going directly to Camiguin Island, the nearest airport is in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental; after that a travel by land should be taken to reach the sea port going to Camiguin.
BY LAND - from the airport, take a taxi cab going to Agora Bus Terminal and a bus trip to reach Balingoan Bus Terminal and take an around 10-minute public vehicle ride to Balingoan Sea Port where sea vessels are available going to Camiguin Island.
- other option is taking a cab from Cagayan de Oro(CdeO) airport to CdeO sea port and take the Paras SeaCat ferry. The ferry has schedules and it's important to know that; Balingoan seaport to Camiguin has more vessels available for trips.
